About Barlow Pre-school
Communication
We keep all our parents regularly informed of their child's progress as well as publishing half-termly newsletters and issuing notices.
Admissions
We cater for pre-school children in the local community with minimum ages of 2 years and 6 months.
Fees
We have a comprehensive and competitive fee structure for pre-school children from 2 to 4 years.
Arrivals & departures
Our policies ensure your child is being cared for in a safe environment, from the moment they arrive right through to collection.
Premises & equipment
We have an outdoor play area and park area and plenty of car parking. Inside we have a kitchen, toilets and play space.
Programme & activities
We work towards the early learning goals for foundation stage across the key areas, including personal development, maths and creativity.
Drinks & snacks
We provide drinks and healthy snacks during each break time and make it a social time for the children.
Clothing
We provide overalls for messy activities and sell our own sweatshirts for parents to buy.
Discipline
All staff and helpers will encourage kindness, willingness to share, friendliness and courtesy, and acceptable behaviour is actively encouraged.
Health & safety
We have a comprehensive health & safety policy for illness, accidents, fire, safety & cleanliness, to provide the safest possible environment for your child.
Child protection
We follow the strict OFSTED guidelines on child protection and have a full child protection policy, available from the supervisor.
Special needs
We have a special needs co-ordinator and work in liaison with outside experts, including social workers and paediatricians.
